In It to Win It: A Public Conversation on Black Men’s Health

February 20 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

As we celebrate Black History Month, the African American Health Program (AAHP) invites you to join In It to Win It: A Public Conversation About Black Men’s Health on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Ross Boddy Community Recreation Center. Take action for Black men’s health by participating in this important discussion addressing health disparities affecting Black men, who continue to have the lowest life expectancy of any demographic group. Through open dialogue, AAHP seeks to raise awareness, inspire action, and explore solutions that can improve health outcomes for Black men and boys.

AAHP is excited to launch In It to Win It as part of AAHP’s Men’s Health initiative. In It to Win It will consist of five events leading up to Men’s Health Month in June. Each event will offer free health screenings and screening pledges to help men know and understand their health metrics, especially urgent for men who do not see a doctor regularly. The ultimate goal of In It to Win It is to significantly increase the number of men who “know their numbers,” visit the doctor annually, and model good health habits.

Whether you are a Black man, father, mother, wife, brother, sister, grandparent, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, or trusted friend, your presence is critical. Join us in the movement to improve the health of Black men. Because Black Men’s Health Matters.
