AAHP invites you to join our six-week workshop, Cancer Chat & Chew: Conversations for Wellness, designed to help individuals and caregivers navigate the challenges of cancer. This workshop series focuses on the prevention and management of various types of cancer, including prostate, breast, lung, cervical, and ovarian, providing practical tools and resources to promote healthier living.
According to Vicki Russell Walton, AAHP’s cancer prevention specialist, “Living with cancer presents ongoing challenges, but with the right tools and support, these challenges can be managed effectively, allowing individuals to lead healthier, longer lives. This workshop offers practical skills and invaluable knowledge to enhance health and quality of life. I encourage anyone affected by cancer to take advantage of this unique opportunity.”
Throughout the workshop, participants will learn valuable strategies for maintaining an active lifestyle, improving dietary habits, solving problems, making effective decisions, and developing coping mechanisms to live well with cancer. The program also emphasizes the importance of increasing physical activity, achieving a healthy weight, and adopting sustainable health practices.
Classes will be held virtually on Fridays, starting February 21, 2025, and continuing on February 28, March 7, March 14, March 21, and March 28, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. At the conclusion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion along with a swag bag filled with treats.
