Breast Care for Washington's MammoVan Offering Mammograms

African American Health Program(AAHP) for African Americans and people of African descent in Montgomery County

To help ensure that Black women in Montgomery County have access to life-saving mammograms, AAHP has teamed up with @BreastCareDC to bring their mammovan to the People’s Community Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 6 from 9am - 3pm. Make your appointment for a mammogram by September 25.⁠

To ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff, all appointments will be spaced to allow thorough cleaning between each mammogram.⁠

Eligibility requirements:  ⁠

  • Be over the age of 40⁠
  • Not had a mammogram within the past 12 months⁠
  • Not currently  experiencing any breast pain⁠
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding ⁠

Before your appointment:⁠

  • DO bring a valid picture ID and your⁠ insurance card⁠
  • DO wear a 2-piece outfit⁠
  • DON'T wear deodorant, perfume, or lotion⁠
